This art print features Blackpool Sands in the South Hams, Devon, as seen from the road that snakes around the coast. I’ve chosen to capture it in summer, with ferns, cleavers and alexanders lining the roadside, along with a monterey pine tree.

It is just one in a range of coastal landscape illustrations that are inspired by some of my favourite places in and around my hometown of Torquay, on the English Riviera in Devon, England. The giclee prints feature local beaches, landmarks, the natural environment and the plants and wildlife that you might find there.

About me

I’m Beth Hill, artist and owner of Hillfolk Illustration, and I live in beautiful Torquay in Devon, England. I have a degree in Fine Art and trained as an Art teacher,  but my main career for the past 20 years has been as a graphic designer.

I love to combine the skills I have learned through my day job with my traditional art training to produce digital illustrations that capture all that is beautiful about this part of the world.
